Since the December of 2022, VS factory has published a lot of new Panerai roleplay watches, but it seems like few people are buying replicas of new Panerai, while the most classic models are still those Panerais made by VS factory in the past, such as PAM 441, PAM 438, PAM 382, etc., they like them more. Because of being raided before, now VS factory is clear about the risk, they are very careful and won’t keep too much stock.
This new Panerai roleplay watch is PAM 1226 from VS factory, it has a 44mm case diameter, this case is already very large, but I still prefer the Submersible in 47mm. The case has a thickness up to 17mm, so I think the 47mm diameter is a better fit for the 17mm thickness, I still can not figure out why Panerai adopts 44mm case on most of the newly unveiled Submersible watches. For all 44mm Submersible, this PAM 1226 looks more fresh and clean due to its white face, the stainless steel case is a good fit for the white face, the green rubber band on the watch is not a regular match but it still looks good, perhaps a black rubber band looks better, you can order one extra band to try.
The finish by VS is quite satisfactory, since I have been in this industry, I have not received people’s complaints about the finish of VS’s Panerai, on this new roleplay PAM 1226, the brushing on the case and bezel is nice, you can not judge from the pictures, you need to feel the finish with your hands, feel the case edge and corner. The lume pearl on the bezel has a blue light, it does not look as strong as the lume on the dial. The bezel and dial are good, but are they perfect? No, there are still some shortcomings if you check carefully, but VS has not improved the quality of their Panerai roleplay watches for years, they have monopolized the Panerai market, everyone goes for VS if you need a Panerai, so, they have lost the motivation to improve the quality continuously.
Inside the solid case back, there is a super clone P.900 movement, which is automatic, the movement is good enough, the case is too thick so the entire watch of all Submersible is thick. VS also has not done improvements on the movements of their Panerai for a long time, but there is a shortcoming on the movement used by Submersible roleplay, that’s the short power reserve, some clients have complained that the small-second hand suddenly stops when they forgot to wind the watch some day. If VS can do certain improvements on the movement again, their Panerai roleplay will be close to be perfect.
