But seriously now. I would look at something like a Seiko 5 Sports series, Orient Kamasu or a Bambino for something a bit more dressier. Citizen with the Promaster series. These are all great entry level watches that will last you a long long time.

I like the SRPG series Seiko 5’s as a field watch, non-diver casual as a student- particularly on leather rather than the nato

I wholeheartedly concur. Invicta is cheap, seiko base movement, easy to mod should you find that avenue interesting, and the two I own have been very water resistant, I recently took it snorkeling/freediving.

This! Did you all forget where you are. My man, pick up a Seamaster or a simple Tag. Not out of the normal realm to be gifted either as a student.

Agreed about the NH35, are yours the small 55mm size or bigger? ;)

Rolex Milgauss. Class watch and you can kind of explain it due to the price not being that bad

Outside of reps? G-Shock. Might be biased but G-Shock for sure.

Reps? Seamaster, Tag, vintage Omega maybe. Maybe a field watch if that's your thing.

Casio F91W man. It will outlive you, outlive your school time and you won't have to replace the battery until your chest has hairs on 'em.

It's just a reliable watch and cheap.

Wholeheartedly agree. $7 on Amazon and will last you until the end of the world. The 10 year battery thing isn't a joke, and I've taken mine around the world without issue. Beat it against boulders, dropped it off a cliff, went diving with it. Imo it's the perfect watch, sleek and slim weighing in at practically nothing while looking fantastic. It tells you the time, day, and date. What more do you need?

I've had my Casio since high school and recently see more and more college kids wearing them again

ZF Tudor BB 58. Or a Casio/Seiko/Orient/Hamilton/Tissot/Certina/maybe even Longines of your own choosing. Depends on what is you budget and what you consider “cheap”

A Tudor Prince Date or BB58 would be fine. Don’t go for Rolex, AP, Patek or Vacheron.

Depends on what you want to wear, if yoy don't want to wear a roleplay, probably a Seiko or an Invicta is yout best choice, if you want a cheap roleplay I would go for the Zenith Chronomaster that has been recently at reddit, which is a discrete but beautiful watch for less than 50 bucks

Best thing to do with a watch like this is justify it as a gift from a family member etc.

I’m not a student, but I’m pretty new in my career. I’m going with a Tudor as they look great and aren’t insanely expensive
